Thank you for being a part of and donating to the Kick for a Cure initiative.
During my senior year at Bloomsburg University and as kicker for Bloomsburg Huskies Football Team, I wanted to find a way to use my talents on the field in a meaningful way.
I launched the initiative, Kick for a Cure, which will donate money to the Angelman Syndrome Foundation (ASF) for every field goal scored by the Huskies during the 2013 season.
I chose the ASF in honor of a close family friend, Brianna Rehm, who is diagnosed with Angelman syndrome (AS). It is Brianna and her family who inspired this initiative.
I cannot think of a more deserving cause than raising money to further support the ASF’s mission to advance the awareness and understanding of AS through education and information, research and support for individuals with AS and their families.
While any dollar amount may be given per field goal, I encourage and appreciate you showing support for this initiative by giving an amount that reflects my jersey number – 97.
For example, consider the following gifts:
• $97 flat donation to the ASF
• $9.70 per field goal
Please join me, my teammates and other donors who support this initiative. Help make Kick for a Cure a success, both on and off the field.
Dan Fisher, #97
